Brunel Bantams has been set up by three parents from Brunel Field school in Bristol. We are predominantly there for the children of Brunel Field but space permitting we also welcome children from other schools in the area. We have the support of Brunel Field school but are not officially affiliated with the school in any way.
We are extremely serious about the safeguarding of children and run the club on the following football principles:
1. We are about having fun, not winning at all costs.
2. All children get equal game time, no matter their ability*
3. We are enthusiastic about coaching teamwork and team ethos.
Brunel Bantams are an FA affiliated team with an FA approved welfare officer. All adults working with children at the club are CRC-checked by the FA and we have first-aiders on hand at every session.
While encouragement from the sidelines is great, we have a zero tolerance policy of any form of abuse; to our players, to opposition players, to referees or other parents and coaches. Parents of children at the club will be required to sign a Code of Conduct to show they agree to this.
* Equal game time does require equal commitment – children who come to train on a regular basis will naturally be picked for games over those who come infrequently.
